Lawsuit against US Department dropped by Google, 'Mutual agreement' or 'Out of Court Settlement'.

In November 2010, Google filed a lawsuit against the US Department of the Interior and put an allegation on goverment for unfairly awarding a Microsoft a $59 million cloud computing contract without even bothering to conduct a competitive auction. Google won that lawsuit against the department in the month of January, and the contract was put on hold. But last week a breaking news came that Google have decided to drop the suit , after filing a motion in the Court. In a motion filed in court by Google's attorney it was written that the decision is based on the defendant's agreement to revise its market research and then conduct an auction in a fairly manner. Although Federal lawyers are claiming that the two sides have not reached an agreement or any out of court settlement but it is still unclear that if two sides have truly reached an agreement, or whether the litigation may wear on. Well we'll keep our eye glued on further development and revailation on this topic. For the time please keep visiting our blog.
