Mobile Miscellany for first week of October 2011




We all know that this week was flooded with news about many new mobiles and gadgets from all the brands so its easy to miss some of it. Here we bring you some other things which happened this week of October 3, 2011:

    Verizon came up with new Pantech Hotshot feature phone (above left) this week. It comes with 3.2-inch touchscreen and a 3.2 mega pixel camera also have video capturing facility.Talking about its price it's being offered for $100 with a two-year contract.
    AT&T came up with Pantech Link II which is said to be Pantech Link II follow-up to the popular Quick Messaging Device. It comes with BREW mobile 1.0.2 and will cost you $10 with a two-year contract.
    Cincinnati Bell came up with HTC Sensation 4G for $250 with a two-year contract after $50 mail-in rebate.
    The HTC Amaze 4G is being launched in Canada with carrier Telus which officially announced that the device will be coming soon to it and will be launched in Canada by the end of this year.
    According to some critics who reviewed Sony Ericsson's Nozumi reviled that it actually has a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm CPU and uses Android 2.3.5.
    One of the major WiMAX provider in the Denver area i.e Open Range Communication gave pink slip to more then hundred employees, shutting down its WiMAX service to new customers and the CEO of this resigned
