It's festival season and recent announcement from Samsung sent wave of shock and disappointment to Galaxy S users by announcing that Samsung Galaxy S will not receive latest Google Android 4.0 Ice-Cream Sandwich. According to a survey Google Android 4.0 Ice-cream Sandwich update was most awaited stuff by Galaxy S users. To be noted Samsung Galaxy S sold 10 million units last year along with the 7-inch Galaxy Tab tablet won't receive the much awaited Android 4.0 upgrade.

If you compare hardware configuration of "Samsung Galaxy S" with Nexus S (which is receiving Google Android 4.0 Ice-Cream update) it is said that their hardware configuration is almost same and the clarification being given is that Samsung Galaxy S does not have sufficient RAM and ROM for installation of new update with TouchWiz and other Samsung software (read Sh*tware) installed on the device.
