According to a prominent and reliable website (Bloomberg) the iPad 3 will be launched within next 2 months. iPad 3 will incorporate a quad-core chip.
If we go by analysis reports of critics and experts iPad 3 is going to be one of Apple's big revenue drivers for this year.
Bloomberg also quoted that Asian manufacturing partners of Apple are expected to ramp up bulk manufacturing by the end of February.
If Bloomberg's report is true, it can be expected that Apple is will slowdown iPad 2 sales, which is already hit by Amazon's Kindle Fire. There has also been speculation that Apple will keep manufacturing iPad 2 around and may reduce its price (to lure customers). One of the biggest question which is still unanswered is that "will next iPad be 4G friendly?"
