Few years back Microsoft gave free download of Window 7 as pre-beta version before its release and now the same thing happened for Windows 8 as the latest version of Windows i.e Windows 8 is being given out for free download.
When we had a first look at it we realized that in appearance it looks much more similar to the interface of Windows Phone 7 and this type of interface is called as Metro UI. It also comes up with Live Tiles through which application can update the ‘tiles’ for example it automatically updates new message. Metro UI is proving to be great stuff for Microsoft giving it an edge over other operating systems and like all other things it also have merits and demerits.
First thing which will attract users is Metro UI looks which is good and fresh. It is developed keeping touch screen users in mind. For those people who use normal computer will need to do a lot of scrolling from time to time so that they can reach the other side of the tile board.
Window Explorer of this OS looks much more similar to Microsoft Office. For some user, this may be better then previous version but if you ask me, I prefer to have the old Windows 7 look by default.
